OxygenIT provides trusted GreenOps APIs for estimating energy and carbon emissions from IaaS, DBaaS, and PaaS cloud services, as well as on-premises bare metal and laptop/desktops hardware.

API Key Management

To use the APIs, you must have an API key, which must be specified in the header of each request ('token' field, as indicated in the API documentation).

You can manage your API keys via the administration console of your OxygenIT account at https://admin.oxygenit.io (opens in a new tab).

If you don't have an account, go to https://admin.oxygenit.io/auth/sign-up (opens in a new tab) to create one. By default, all new accounts are in a 'free' mode.

Cloud Project Carbon Emission Simulator

We also provide a cloud project carbon emission simulator at https://project.oxygenit.io/ (opens in a new tab).

It allows you to run cloud project simulations with an interface similar to Google Cloud Cost Simulator, but by providing the energy/carbon cost. Some sample projects are provided for informational purposes.

To add or edit a project, you will have to enter an API key, you can enter it in the interface.

For security reasons, all projects are stored locally in the browser; nothing is stored in the cloud.

When integrating our APIs, accessing the request log in the browser's developer interface allows an engineer to familiarize themselves with the request structure in order to quantify an integration effort in a exisiting ESG/observability/Finops/GreenIT tool.
